Dynamics testing




I have used Autodesk Maya's ncloth system to produce a rough draft of the scene in which the character is buried in a pile of clothes. The 2D shader works well here also. Although this would require our character to be a 3D object , it would not be too difficult to flatten it afterwards. As a group we have felt that our 2D drawing prowess is perhaps not at the level for us to be able to convincingly draw this effect. The below video shows an accurate simulation in draft quality.






I may also be able to create a simulation of water using nparticles which will require some further testing. This again would eliminate the need to hand draw a very difficult effect.
